    What is Temperature Mapping?

    Temperature mapping studies are performed to collect temperature data within product storage areas to qualify a facility for the storage of regulated product (within a specified temperature range). After the temperature mapping study is complete, a Thermal Profile evaluates any temperature variations over time within the facility to identify the warmest and coldest storage locations. The Thermal Profile also will recommend permanent locations for the routine temperature monitoring sensors.

    When should I map a facility?

    Temperature mapping studies should be performed in both the summer and winter seasons for storage locations that are impacted by the external temperature (i.e., warehouse). Self-contained storage areas (i.e., refrigerators, coolers, freezers, HVAC facilities) do not require seasonal mapping; rather, one study will suffice.

    What can you expect?

    Upon completion of the study, REAL Solutions Group will provide an assessment report summarizing the results, which will include the following:

    • Data analysis

    • Identification of the warmest and coldest storage locations

    • Routine temperature sensor placement recommendations

    • Diagram of monitor placement

    • Raw data

    • External temperatures during study

    • Certificates of Calibration for the test monitors
